| In Memorial Amy Armstrong Class of 81 1962-2006 Happiness is a Journey by Amy Armstrong ".....Happiness is the journey, not the destination. As elusive as a butterfly, happiness comes only to those who feel it without chasing it. Don't compare yourself so much to others; begin to set internal standards of excellence. The real winners in life get what they want by helping others, when independence has been replaced by interdependence." Amy's Words of Wisdom found in a shared best-friend's journal with Kerry Purdy. "My earliest memories of Amy even before Choctaw, up to the present, were of someone who would give you her all without the asking. Amy touched all of us throughout High School and then, even afterwards, our children at a local school. I have rarely met someone who was so giving, asking absolutely nothing in return. I for one, hope I can keep Amy's young understanding of happiness with me in the years to come. You will be missed, Sweet Amy ... Forever, Les Rollo |
