This comic was based on the shocking 2006 revelations (or not so shocking, if you've been
paying attention) that the FDA conspired with drug companies to hide negative drug trial results,
ignore urgent safety warnings on drugs like Rezulin, and even to censor its own scientists (like
Dr. David Graham) who were sounding the alarm over drugs that were killing tens of thousands
of Americans.
In working on this comic, I was trying to envision what this process would look like. How do
you visualize an agency that ignores all the science and has a clear mission to promote
pharmaceuticals, regardless of public safety considerations?
The simple solution, as you can see, is the See / Hear / Speak no evil convention, followed by
an enthusiastic stamp of approval from an FDA bureaucrat so corrupt that money actually
rattles out of his pockets as he's stamping "Approved!" on the drug application. Those of you
with finely-honed powers of observation will note that the drug being approved is called,
"Profital." Another drug name shown on a piece of paper is "Ripitor." (These drug names were
Dan's ideas, by the way.)
The scientists in the cartoon aren't supposed to represent any particular person (such as Dr.
David Graham) because, in reality, it's the scientists who continue to exercise some degree of
scientific skepticism at the FDA. The real crooks are the FDA bureaucrats who have a
pro-industry agenda coupled with extreme scientific ignorance and utter disregard for the health
and safety of the American people.
Every time I visit a grocery store, I'm always struck by the degree to which food and
beverage manufacturers lie about their products through deceptive labels and packaging. In this
comic, I decided to show you what a grocery store might really look like if all the food
products were honestly labeled.
Each of these product names is based on solid nutritional science, by the way. The "heart
disease spread" actually causes heart disease due to its hydrogenated oils (trans fatty acids).
The "colon cancer dogs" contain sodium nitrite, a cancer-causing additive used in virtually all
processed meat products, including hot dogs. The "obesity pop" actually promotes obesity and
diabetes, thanks to its high-fructose corn syrup. And the question mark at the end of the
"choose food?" label is, indeed, intentional. Is it really food? And if so, why do they have to
add "food" to the product name?
The mom character doing the shopping is confused, as most moms are when trying to shop for
more healthful foods at the grocery store. They don't know which food labels to trust, or which
health experts to believe. All the while, their kids are screaming for more sugar-coated cereals
and candies, all of which help promote mood disorders and ADHD labels that will eventually
earn them Ritalin prescriptions.
This comic shows you what I see when I walk into a grocery store. I look at products on the
shelf and can instantly tell you what toxic ingredients (or unintentional chemicals) they contain.
Most people, however, just see whatever ridiculous health claims the food manufacturers want
them to see, and the truth about processed foods remains hidden to them.
This is the first comic produced with the joint effort of Dan Berger and myself (Mike
Adams). I've been working on creating comic ideas for nearly two years, but didn't have the
illustration skills to produce them myself. Through a friend, I hooked up with Dan Berger who,
as you can tell, is an extremely talented artist. The result: A political cartoon that brings to life
these hard-hitting ideas on health, medicine, the FDA and other similar topics.
This particular cartoon is rather straightforward, and it uses a hard-to-miss convention of the
puppet and the puppet master. In this case, the puppet master is Big Pharma, and the puppet,
who is gleefully prancing around the stage, is the FDA.
Why the giant cat? When I explained this concept to Dan, I described the Big Pharma CEOs
as "fat cats" and he took the image literally!
This is one of my personal favorites. With the airline industry going down the drain, with layoffs
and down sizing going on, you would think that the companies would be smart enough not to
give management bonus's and multi million dollar salaries. When asked why they still do, they
say that they need to keep the company talent happy. Well I can understand why, what phase
of bankruptcy are they in right now? Good job jack asses!
No passenger will ever care who's in the corner office. Your real talent is in the cockpit, that's
who you had better keep happy.

Isn't it amazing that in our "free" nation, doctors would demand that teenagers be arrested,
their parents thrown in jail, and the courts exploited to have them forcibly injected with toxic
chemotherapy drugs against their will? Our President may say that terrorists hate our freedom,
but nobody hates freedom more than cancer doctors who are waking up to the reality that
informed people of all ages are increasingly choosing to seek safer alternatives. To prevent the
loss of repeat business, cancer doctors are now resorting to "Gunpoint Medicine."
This comic attempts to highlight what's missing from freedom in the world of modern medicine.
It was inspired by the saga of Abraham Cherrix, the cancer teen who stood up to the cancer
industry and said no to toxic chemotherapy. But almost everyone was against him: His doctor,
the local police, Child Protective Services and even the courts. They all demanded he submit to
a second round of chemotherapy, even after the first round nearly killed him.

The cancer industry is so desperate to make money by "treating" patients that it will actually
invoke the threat of physical violence (i.e. "gunpoint medicine") to force patients to comply. It
just goes to show you how far removed modern medicine is from anything resembling healing,
compassion, patients' rights or fundamental ethics. As rightly shown in this comic, some
oncologists have become ego-driven monsters who can't wait to jab a needle into some poor
kid.
And it's all likely to get worse if we don't take back our health freedom from this system of
medicine that has devolved into a corrupt, profit-seeking sham that routinely trades the lives of
patients for corporate profits. Cancer is a multi billion-dollar industry, and there's only money
to be made in "treating" cancer, not in actually preventing it or curing it, which is exactly why
the cancer industry doesn't want anyone visiting alternative cancer clinics where cancer is
routinely cured through herbs, nutrition, radical detoxification therapies and other treatments
that really work.
